Kimberley Jade is originally from London, but has lived in San Diego for 20+ years. She is an author, poet, and filmmaker.
Kimberley obtained a Writing for Stage and Screen certificate from Drama Studio London in 2019 and a Filmmaking Certificate from the London Film Academy in 2023. She graduated from Grossmont College in 2025, with multiple associate's degrees and certificates in English, Creative Writing, and University Studies.
So far, she has written His Green Eyes (2017) and California Never Felt Like Home (2025), both of which are Y/A fiction books embodying different coming-of-age experiences.
In 2019, she won the Grossmont College Poetry Slam for her poems, "My Body is a Temple" (2019) and "Dear You" (2019).
Most recently, she has expanded into filmmaking. Her first short film, Redamancy (2025), was an Audience Choice Winner for Lift-Off Sessions Volume 2 in London in 2026.
In her spare time, Kimberley likes to paint, draw, and sing.
